Municipalities represented by Guynn, Waddell, Carroll & Lockaby, P.C. are making progress on several important development plans.
Amherst County is working on increasing broadband internet access in its rural areas. The Amherst County Broadband Authority is seeking to partner with SCS Broadband “to provide wireless service through the towers scattered across the county.” A major goal of the initiative is to provide “coverage for homeowner, schools, and businesses in underserved and unserved areas of the county that are at a grave disadvantage because of their rural surroundings.” You can read more details in The News & Advance article.
Franklin County meanwhile is also progressing on its Summit View Business Park. The board of supervisors recently voted to approve an easement and transfer two parcels to the Western Virginia Water Authority.
